We are working with a national construction engineering company who are looking to bring in an HSE Advisor into their Infrastructure team. The candidate should be based in the Midlands or South of England, with the role being a field-based position with travel to sites and projects across the country. The successful candidate will visit a range of temporary and fixed sites, ensuring that Health & Safety and Environmental requirements are met, writing up reports and presentations and also bring Health & Safety and Environmental innovation and improvement to the business. This position offers a great opportunity to develop and grow as the business continues to grow and would be ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their Health & Safety career. 

The Role:

Working closely with all levels of staff within the business unit to ensure compliance with the company’s policies and proceduresAssisting the site teams in creation of safety documentation where required
  • Promote the practical application of Health & Safety, with the ability to work with the teams to agree solutions and reduce risks
  • Conduct and support incident investigations to determine root causes and ensure actions are completed
  • Conduct regular internal audits on fixed and temporary sites, suggest improvements and follow up on non-compliances

    • The Candidate:

  • 2+ years' experience gained in a similar HSE role with good working knowledge and practical application of CDM 2015
    • NEBOSH Construction / General certificate, or equivalent, as a minimum. Ideally will have or will be working to a Diploma level Health & Safety qualification
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001 with experience of conducting audits on both temporary and fixed sites
  • Experience of conducting incident investigations in similar construction-related environments
  • Have a valid UK driving licence and be based somewhere between Surrey and Coventry, with willingness to travel nationally and work away from home as required
