Irwin & Colton have been engaged by a high-profile organisation who operate nationally across the built environment to recruit a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Innovation Lead. The company have over 30 years of successful operation and are currently going through an exciting transition period, this role is core to this transition. The role is reporting Directly to the Board with the potential to develop into a Director role.

Specifically, this organisation are looking for a creative, innovative, individual with new ideas, who can drive a behavioural change programme and who can ensure their health, safety and wellbeing team and programme continues to deliver to the highest standard.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Innovation Lead will include:

• Working with the Board and senior stakeholders to develop and continually refine the health, safety and wellbeing strategy, striving for innovation and new approaches where this will have a positive impact
• Leading the national Health, Safety and Wellbeing team ensuring the successful delivery of the strategy on site
• Working with experts across the company to investigate new ways of communicating health, safety and wellbeing strategy, especially across social media
• Influencing, engaging and coaching key internal and external stakeholders to drive change
• Conducting major health and safety incident investigation to identify root cause and making recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
• Constantly assessing opportunities for health and safety improvements and sharing best practice across the organisation

The successful Health, Safety and Wellbeing Innovation Lead will have:

• Proven leadership experience in a similar senior health, safety and wellbeing role, with proven examples of the creation and implementation of cutting-edge ideas
• Experience in influencing, engaging and coaching senior management and site level operations
• A NEBOSH / NCRQ Diploma or NVQ5 (or equivalent) and ideally Chartership of IOSH
• Experience driving new innovations across health and safety, wellbeing and behavioral programmes
