Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Manager
Location: West Sussex
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 plus excellent benefits

We've been engaged by a leader in the Environmental services industry to recruit a Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Manager. The role will lead on Health, Safety, Environment & Quality for an accredited and award winning waste management business based in the West Sussex region.

The organisation has an excellent reputation in the industry, with a long history of successful operation across the UK.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Manager will include:

  • Lead and promote a safe, environmentally aware and quality focused culture, ensuring relevant laws and policies are adhered to, and best practice is observed in all areas.
  • Develop and manage the annual Health, Safety & Environment plan and objectives
  • Keep updated with key changes to legislation to ensure compliance
  • Conduct, analyse and report on safety inspections and checks
  • Continually develop and review SHEQ management systems in line with industry best practice

The successful Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Manager will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within waste, recycling, chemicals or a related industry
  • NEBOSH Certificate (as minimum) and / or relevant Environment qualifications and ideally membership of a relevant professional body (i.e IOSH, IEMA)
  • Good communication skills with the ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organisation
