We're currently working with a reputable Construction Consultancy who are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to be based on their clients site. It is a fixed term contract starting on the 28th May and finishing in November 2022. Initially you will work 1 day a week for the first 4 weeks and then start full time from the 28th June. The site operates 5 days a week, with 10 hour days. You will be responsible for building multiple relationships from the client to contractor, as well as driving a positive health and culture within the business. Suitable candidates will have at least 5 years of experience within the construction industry and hold the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as a minimum.

The Role:

  • Produce project specific health and safety management plans
  • Review the site health and safety conditions and performance
  • Monitor and produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Carry out site walk-arounds with client representatives with an extra focus on their health and safety leaderships views and processes
  • Produce reports against health and safety KPIs and statistics
  • Maintain and update health and safety management systems and audit against ISO standards
  • Share best practice with site teams and collaborate with key stakeholders

The Candidate:

  • Experience working within a construction project environment within a Health and Safety position
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as a minimum qualification
  • GradIOSH membership is a must
  • A forward-thinking approach to driving health and safety
  • A confident communicator
