Part Time Health & Safety Advisor - 22 hours per week - Up to £36,000 pro rata

Your new company
I am currently working with a company who are looking for a Part Time Health & Safety Advisor to join their growing and expanding team who have a strong vision for the next 5 years. Established for nearly 5 years now themselves, this company employ over 600 staff and provide a pivotal and diverse range of services to the community across Bolton and other areas.

Your new role
The main purpose of your role is to work collaboratively with others to ensure that Health & Safety is everyone's responsibility. You will advise and continually develop the Health & Safety management system ensuring that the company meets regulatory requirements. Responsibilities will include:

  • To implement and maintain procedures for monitoring performance in relation to Occupational Health & Safety
  • To drive a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the company
  • Ensure risk assessments are reviewed, in place and that all hazards are identified
  • Keep up to date with all new legislation and developments that affect the industry
  • Monitor safe systems of working
  • Ensure investigations of accidents and incidents take place
  • Develop and continually review and improve compliance management system working towards ISO45001
  • To conduct regular audits and inspections
  • Work collaboratively with Executive Leadership Team and provide regular updates whilst ensuring that all Managers and staff understand their Health & Safety responsibilities


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will hold NEBOSH as a minimum and have experience within a similar role. Working within a health/social care setting is highly advantageous. You will have exceptional knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and have experience developing policies and procedures whilst working with Operations Managers. Excellent communication skills are a must and you must be able to demonstrate a passion for Health & Safety along with being able to create a positive behavioural safety culture.

What you'll get in return
This role is a permanent, part time role. 22 hours per week and these hours can be flexible based on any other commitments you may have. Pro rata salary of up to £36,000 depending on experience. 21 days plus bank holidays pro rata with pension contribution.
