A motivated, influential SHEQ Advisor to join a leading provider of maintenance services in Portsmouth.

My client have a proud reputation of providing construction, maintenance and building services to their portfolio of clients across the south.

Your new role

This is a varied, autonomous role for a highly motivated SHEQ Advisor who can communicate effectively at all levels. You are only expected in the Portsmouth office 2-3 mornings per week (for meetings / delivering training etc), otherwise this is a field-based role based from home and covering various locations / sites locally (Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester, West Sussex etc).

Main purpose of the role:
Support the SHEQ Manager in the delivery of the SHEQ strategy promoting a positive and collaborative approach to improve behaviours and culture, whilst ensuring the company complies and adheres to all current legislation, policies and procedures.

Working hours: 40 / week, Monday-Friday (8-5pm with 1 hour lunch).

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have a NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate and ideally be a Technical / Graduate Member of IOSH (or equivalent) too with experience of delivering H&S / SHEQ training to colleagues.

You must also have worked in a similar H&S / SHEQ role within building maintenance / services, FM (preferably hard services) or construction sector. It will be an advantage if you hold an IEMA / NEBOSH Environmental Certificate and P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings qualification.
