SHE Advisor | Basingstoke | £45k


Your new company

I am working alongside my client who is one of the UK's Top 3 utility providers to source a SHE Advisor. My client help connect, heat and power over 15 million homes and businesses and work with emerging technologies to maintain 65km of gas pipes and install one million metres of fibre optic cable every year.

Your new role

In this exciting role you'll be responsible for driving SHE improvements in line with the companies SHE policies and procedures. You'll carry out and record SHE audits and inspections and assist the team in drawing up risk assessments. You'll also ensure all accidents, incidents are reported in the quickest possible time. The role will entail the SHE reporting requirements are provided accurately and in a timely manner. You'll conduct site / project APR visits and work closely with the operational teams to carry out their SHE responsibilities in line with the company Safety, Health and Environmental Management System. You'll also assist the management team in local SHE training and promote and deliver SHE training programs where necessary.

What you'll need to succeed

A proactive, good communicator with demonstrable experience in this industry. You'll be IOSH qualified with a minimum NEBOSH Construction certificate and have a solid understanding of SHE legislation. You'll also have previous experience of quality standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 Standards. Working on your own initiative and delivering against key objectives is a key aspect of the role. This role may encourage flexible working across various sites.
