Assistant Health & Safety Manager | Up to £30,000 | Permanent

Your new company
I am currently working exclusively with a high quality, award winning house builder who have been established for nearly 20 years. Working closely with their clients, they pride themselves on exceeding expectations and delivering a quality product and service. With 7 live sites across North and Mid Wales and the North West, my client is looking for an Assistant Health & Safety Manager to join their team.

Your new role
The main purpose of your role is to support the Health & Safety Manager to ensure that the company's products and services meet the highest quality standards and that working conditions are safe and meet all legal requirements. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Health & Safety Manager to ensure excellent behavioural safety measures are in place
  • Supporting the overall business' Health & Safety Compliance and registration checks
  • Conduct site audits and RAMS
  • Write lifting plans
  • Assist with Health & Safety Management systems in accordance with company plans
  • Contribute to training and development
  • Toolbox talks
  • Provide advice, support and guidance to colleagues at all levels



What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience within a similar role, ideally within house build or construction. You will be motivated and be able to work well in a team. The ability to promote safe working practices and effective behavioural safety measures is key. You will also be willing to travel to live sites as per company requirements so must hold a full driving licence.

What you'll get in return
This is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience. 28 days holiday including bank holidays along with company van, mobile phone and laptop provided.
