A global manufacturing company based in Gloucester are looking to introduce a Health, Safety & Environment Manager to their team to lead UK operations within their high risk environments.
Your new role
This role will be based from a complex site in Gloucester and will work closely with Site Management and HR to help develop and build a positive safety culture. You will be responsible for developing EHS systems, strategy and compliance whilst leading a small on-site team. You will also work closely with the global function to drive EHS projects within the UK market. You will lead on the environmental ISO14001 accreditation as well as investigating accidents, conducting audits, liaising with stakeholders and ensuring compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will ideally need to hold the NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) with strong practical experience managing health & safety in a higher risk manufacturing environment. My client may also accept interest from candidates with the right industry and level of experience who hold the NEBOSH certificate. In addition you will need to be able to build relationships, line manage a team and drive safety performance.
