Health and Safety Manager

We are working with a Sussex based Housing Association to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. In this newly created role you will lead on health and safety strategy, manage a small team, and focus on people safety throughout the organisation. Our client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager with an engaging, pragmatic approach, confident manner and the ability to make an instant impact.

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies and procedures
• Managing a team of Health and Safety professionals
• Engage with all areas of the business, providing expert advice
• Actively promote a positive H&S culture throughout the organisation

The Successful Health and Safety Manager will have:

• Hold the NEBOSH/ NCRQ Certificate minimum and ideally have or be working towards a Diploma level qualification
• Ideally have experience within the housing or social care sectors 
• Experience of managing a small team; ability to build rapport at all levels
• Confident communicator with strong presentation and influencing skills
