Health and Safety Manager, Part-time - 3 days per week
Location: Home based with occasional travel in the South East of England. Ideal base is Home Counties (or adjoining counties)
Salary: Up to £54,000 (Pro-rata £32,400) + 26 days holiday, Bupa, Pension
Assured Safety Recruitment has been engaged by a Housing Organisation with charitable status having a specialism in providing affordable homes which are environmentally sustainable in rural communities. We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager, to work three days per week, based from home with occasional travel.
As Health and Safety Manager;
You will be the lead in Health & Safety for the organisation and ensure the organisation meets compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation particularly with regard to property related compliance such as Asbestos, Legionella, Gas Safety etc.
You will review, develop and update all central health and safety policies and procedures and lead the annual health and safety audit.
You will compile annual reports for the board and anaylse and interpret health and safety related data.
You will work closely with managers to ensure they have the tools, training and support required to lead health and safety in their teams and locations. You will develop and maintain an annual staff health and safety training programme.
You will have previous experience in a Health and Safety role and hold a Nebosh Diploma or equivalent qualification
Previous experience in a property, housing or facilities management environment would be ideal or alternatively from any industry but part of your role has been building/property compliance related in areas such as Asbestos, Fire Safety, Gas Safety, and Legionella.
You will hold a UK driving license and have access to your own vehicle.
