Health, Safety and Environmental Assistant

To assist the Head of HSE in the development, management, implementation and monitoring of the NRS Health Safety and Environmental Management Systems. This role is Field/Home based and will require regular overnight travel to multiple locations throughout the UK.

To include, but not be restricted to, the following duties:

• Provide general support and assistance to the H of HSE in ensuring Legal/standards compliance
• Assist with Health; Safety; Environmental and Infection control monitoring activities
• Assist in the identification of need and preparation of a range of risk assessments
• Assist undertaking of Health and Safety; Environmental and Infection Control Audits 
• Provide Support in the reviewing and closure of non-conformances  
• Assist in the reviewing of accidents/incidents and near miss reports
• Provide support to the National Health and Safety Committee including minute taking
• Provide support in managing Medical Device Alerts and Field Safety Notices
• Support the Head of HSE in ensuring Environmental legal/standards compliance
• Assist in the processing of EL and PL claims
• Assist in the compilation of the NRS Monthly Board and Operations Executive Reports
• Support Facilities Management where required

       Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Level certification 
• Accredited to IOSH

        Experience

• 2 years demonstrable experience within a similar role
• Operational experience in warehousing and distribution or similar
• Experience in managing health, safety and environment aspects
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
