This is a new role which offers a varied and exciting opportunity for someone with facilities management and health & safety knowledge and expertise. We are looking for a talented and motivated facilities management and health & safety professional with a proven track record of delivering health & safety in a scientific/laboratory and/or engineering setting. You will have a thorough understanding of buildings and facilities management issues and procedures together with a proactive approach to health and safety best practice. You will have a formal health & safety qualification or demonstrate an equivalent level of experience.
You will coordinate the work of the facilities team, so experience of supervising a team, allocating work and encouraging personal development is required. You will also need to be an excellent communicator, with exceptional inter-personal skills and capable of promoting a strong customer focus. You will work with the management team to develop and plan the expansion of facilities and evolution of facilities management and health & safety as the Science Park grows.
The University of Oxford Science Park at Begbroke is a cross-departmental research facility with office/laboratory space for both research groups and high-tech science-based businesses and spin-outs.
