Director of Health & Safety | Maidenhead
Salary: Circa £90,000 plus car or allowance, excellent benefits and bonus

Irwin & Colton have been engaged by a leading retail and logistics organisation to recruit a Director of Health & Safety. Forming part of the Senior Leadership team, this newly created role will lead on Health, Safety & Environment across all UK operations, covering multiple sites and corporate offices predominantly based within the South of England.

With an element of home working, this is a true leadership position and is an excellent opportunity to become part of an exciting growth journey and have real influence across the organisation.

Responsibilities for the Director of Health & Safety will include:

• Leading the development and execution of the safety and health strategy and tactical planning across the group companies
• Developing, implementing and promoting new initiatives to increase Health and Safety performance and understanding across the organisations
• Ensuring a regular audit programme is conducted, and accurate reporting on findings and improvements are implemented
• Engaging with key stakeholders across the business, including working with the Board of Directors to continue to drive a positive safety culture

The successful Director of Health & Safety will have:

• Proven experience in a similar Health and Safety leadership role from within a multi-site retail, logistics, transport or similar environment
• NEBOSH or NCRQ Diploma and Membership of IOSH or other relevant professional body (ideally Chartered or working towards)
• Proven experience creating and implementing Health and Safety strategy and the ability to communicate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the business
• A strong technical knowledge across relevant health, safety and environment legislation within a multi-industry environment
