Radiation H&S Advisor

We have partnered with a Biomedical Research organisation who are seeking a Radiation Health and Safety Advisor to join their team in Central London. The role reports into the H&S Director and will provide them both specialist and generalist advice on a range of H&S matters.

The Radiation Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

• Acting as the Radiation Protection Officer and Laser Safety Officer
• Developing, reviewing and updating policies, procedures and guidance documents
• Act as point of contact for external stakeholders such as Environmental Agency and HSE
• Support the wider Health and Safety team to improve safety culture

The successful Radiation Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• A degree in a life science or similar discipline
• NVQ level 4 in Radiation Protection Practice
• Experience of working within scientific research environment 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
