Health & Safety Advisor

£32,000 - £37,000 plus package 

Civil Engineering

Permanent 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Health & Safety Advisor to join a civil engineering specialist working on a variety of groundwork's and civil engineering projects. The role will be based in their Derbyshire Head Office and be required to travel to sites when required, there could be the occasion night staying away depending on the location of the site . The ideal candidate will be NEBOSH qualified and have hands on experience working within construction or civil engineering environment

The Role:

  • To prepare and undertake audits and workplace inspections of all company operations
  • Prepare health and safety reports and statistical/performance data and present reports at all management levels as required
  • Record audit findings within the required database system and ensure the details of any improvement actions are further recorded in the database
  • To investigate reports of accidents, incidents and near misses, determine their causes and make recommendations for improving recurrence prevention and controls
  • Review Risk Assessments and Safety Method Statements in accordance with company management system procedures

    • The Candidate:

  • Some hands on experience would be beneficial but not a essential
  • NEBOSH Certificate minimum
  • Tech IOSH 
  • Previous experience working in a civil engineering or construction would be beneficial
  • Enthusiastic individual who is looking to progress in safety
