Acre is partnered with a high- quality beverage company to find a compliance manager based at their Tiverton site. You will be joining a diverse and actively sustainable brand, where the values are centred around sustainable innovation and collaboration across teams.

You will focus on the compliance and technical management of the site and manufacturing process. This involves ensuring the practices are in line with all relevant legal and technical regulatory standards. In this busy and fast-paced environment, you will have the opportunity to have ownership of the local compliance function and be a core member of a high performing and reputable brand.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Management of pest control contract, and member of Legionella control team. This involves actioning visits, accompanying and monitoring when necessary.
  • Legal Compliance: Be 'one step ahead' and regularly checking product specifications, ensuring compliance with all UK and EU legislation, guidance and codes of practice.
  • Controlling documents, amending and updating where necessary.
  • Staff training: reviewing the sites food safety coaching, and ensuring all staff's knowledge is up to speed. This involves assessing their individual requirements, health and safety regulations and the wider food safety culture of the brand.
  • Audit management: including internal audits, housekeeping audits, customer audits, supplier audits and being the key point of contact for all reporting of these and communicating them accordingly.
  • HACCP: Attend regular meetings, and update the site team of any changes and also how they could be affected
  • Manage all complaints (e.g. customer or neighbour) through investigation, auditing and liaising appropriately.

The importance of the compliance function in this brand links to their overall strategy of high standards, sustainable practice, and quality customer service. This is a very hands-on role, allowing you to get directly involved in the day to day functioning of the site, reporting directly to the Head of Compliance. In this naturally fast-paced environment, you will thrive if you have a positive attitude, adaptability and can take pressure or obstacles on head-first.

Skills required:

  • Keen eye for detail with innovative ideas and an open mind
