Health, Safety & Environmental Manager | Aerospace Manufacturing | £45k | Multi-site in Nottinghamshire


Your new company
Hays are working with a global manufacturing business within the aerospace market. The company work with highly engineered fastening systems and engineered products and are looking to increase their team by appointing a new HSE Manager.

Your new role
In your new role you will be reporting into the HR Manager and work on developing internal policy and procedures against IS014001. You will conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and record inspection findings. As part of this role, you will be tasked with audit performance and compliance with policies as well as, carrying out regular site inspections. You will be working to continuously improve HSE culture and engage staff whilst maintaining knowledge and remaining up to date with new legislation's. This will be based over two sites in Nottinghamshire with the role being site-based five days a week.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need a told a minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate but ideally a degree level qualification in Health & Safety or similar technical discipline. You will need to have strong people management skills, with the ability to lead and develop team members and others on sites. In addition to, the company are looking for someone who has excellent communication and influencing skills to effectively manage multiple stakeholder relationships. You will also need to have a track record of managing safety within the manufacturing environment, ideally heavy industry such as aerospace, automotive etc...

What you'll get in return
For this role there will be a salary package on offer of 45k and a comprehensive benefit package including company pension scheme and annual leave.
