Health & Safety Manager

Health & Safety Manager | £60,000 - £70,000 plus package | Permanent | Civil Engineering

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety (HSE) Manager to join a leading construction and civil engineering business. The position will be based in London and be leading a large project and the position will be responsible for a team of Health, Safety and Environmental professionals and be focused on the strategic vision on the project. Having knowledge of civil engineering would be a distinct advantage for this position but would consider candidates within infrastructure/built environment

The Role:

• Leading Health, Safety and Environmental across a large civil engineering project in London
• Set standards and lead by example in the management of Health & Safety 
• Assist in investigations or accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, and other incidents 
• Promote HSE initiatives and continuous improvement across the business
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting legislative compliance 

The Candidate:

• 5 years’ experience working in health & safety ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure environment
• Experience managing a small team or being senior on a large infrastructure project
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
• CMIOSH – would consider Grad IOSH who have started the process for CMIOSH
