Job Details

We are working with a national construction engineering company who are looking to bring in a CDM Consultant into their team. The role will partially involve being seconded into an existing client account undertaking all CDM responsibilities on one particular work stream. This role will involve producing pre-construction information, submitting of F10 / NI10’s, reviewing and signing of initial Construction Phase Plans along with H&S File information. Additionally, when not on the secondment, the candidate will work with a range of other clients providing CDM and Principal Designer advisory services. This is a home based position that will require being desktop based as well as having some visits to client sites around the Manchester area. 

The role of the CDM Consultant will be to:

  • Maintain the existing established Client relationship and to become embedded into the client’s team for the work stream
  • Provide CDM Advice to clients that is proportionate to the level of risk involved in the project, as well as undertaking audits during the construction phase of projects
  • Ensure the clients' legal duties are discharged on their behalf and ensure the business’s advice is in-line with the CDM Regulations
  • Partake in pre-start meetings where required, as well as company CDM Team Meetings and quarterly company meetings

    • The successful CDM Consultant will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience acting as a Principal Designer and/or a CDM Advisor
  • Ideally a NEBOSH / NCRQ Diploma, or equivalent. Must have the NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
  • TechIOSH and IMaPS membership
  • A CSCS card and a full clean driving licence
