Senior Health and Safety Manager |Property | Central London |£65,000 to £75,000 plus excellent benefits

Irwin & Colton are pleased to have been engaged by an industry leading real estate property company who are looking to bring on board a senior health and safety manager to lead on all aspects of health and safety across their central London property portfolio. This role will be primarily responsible for managing a diverse range of residential properties.

Responsibilities of the Senior Health and Safety Manager will include:

• Ensure activities to be responsible for the day-to-day safety management of all buildings within your remit, acting as the main point of contact for building occupiers and residents
• Provide expert guidance and leadership to senior stakeholders and engage with all staff across the organization on a range of health and safety issues
• Across the portfolio are properly risk assessed and manage a regular audit programme to evaluate performance
• Liaising with and advising external contractors on site, including planned maintenance contractors, repair contractors, mechanical and electrical contractors, and subsequently advising on best practice
• Paying particular attention to the requirements of the building fire strategy and fire safety management

The successful Senior Health and Safety Manager will have:

• Proven experience within property or the built environment, ideally from a residential or high-rise building background
• Experience in influencing, engaging, and liaising with stakeholders across all levels of organisations, from site through to boardroom
• A NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent)
• Relevant membership of a professional body (e.g. Chartered Member of IOSH)
• Excellent working knowledge of and experience with fire safety (with relevant professional qualifications)
