Interim Senior Health & Safety Advisor - Full time - Hybrid working

I am currently working with a key client who is looking for an Interim Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join a recently expanded team due to restructure. This organisation makes a huge impact on the city of Manchester and works closely with businesses and the community locally and nationally. This organisation employ over 4000 staff and like to reward, invest and recognise their people and provide an inclusive, supportive and welcoming culture.

Your new role

You will work with the Head of Health and Safety to proactively identify and develop health and safety plans and strategies that will ensure compliance with all legislative requirements.

• Draft and promote proposals for new and revised policies, procedures and guidance.
• Develop generic risk assessments
• Comment on and critically review strategic safety related documents.
• Analyse and interpret new and existing health and safety legislation
• Work with the Head of Health and Safety to develop a comprehensive health and safety-training programme
• Identify, design, commission and deliver health and safety training courses, presentations and key talks.
• Undertake investigations to identify immediate/ root causes
• Attend and participate in all health and safety meetings
• Resolve complex health and safety problems and develop bespoke solutions
• Promote awareness and positive attitudes to health and safety

What you'll need to succeed
You will be in a position to start this assignment quickly and will be able to commit to the full duration of the temporary contract. NEBOSH Diploma / equivalent along with chartered membership. You will have extensive and in depth knowledge of health and safety legislation, have the ability to build credibility with colleagues and have a proven experience of dealing with health and safety issues within a large, complex organisation.

What you'll get in return
This is a full time, interim position expected to run until July 2022, there is potential for some flexible working options and the position does offer a hybrid working policy although you will be expected on site as business needs require. Salary banding dependent on experience, paid on an hourly rate.
