Assured Safety Recruitment have been engaged by a Lanashire based FMCG company to recruit to the newly created role of Health, Safety and Environmental Manager. The Health, Safety and Environment Manager will be resposible for leading health, safety and environment across their production facility. The compay is set to double in turnover over the next few years - through both exponential growth in their product sector and the development of new international markets.
Job Title: Health, Safety, Environment Manager
Salary: £40,000 + 5 % bonus scheme
As Health, Safety and Environment Manager you will:
Set high standards for the site, leading guiding, motivating to achieve high performance.
Ensure the company meets its objectives and statutory obligations and support the Site Leadership for health, safety and environment.
Create a culture that prioritises effective HSE
Review existing Health, Safety and Environment policies and practices of the Company to ensure they meet both country specific and group Global Health, Safety and Environment Requirements
Ensure that current control measures are meeting requirements and identify opportunities for continual improvement.
Provide statistical reports/ monthly data in line with KPI’s for site
Develop and role out site- based HSE improvement plans
Prepare safety training material and present training courses as required maintaining training records to ensure employees are qualified for relevant H&S practices (FLT, First Aid, Fire Wardens etc)
Ensure all new employees undertake appropriate H&S induction training
You will hold a Nebosh Certificate and have worked previously in a manufacturing setting as Health, Safety and Environment Advisor or Manager.
