I have a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a fast paced and growing telecoms and civil company who have extensive knowledge and experience with providing an end-to-end service. They have grown considerably in the past year, gaining more sites and contracts nationally. Health & Safety is paramount to this company, they pride themselves on delivering safe services and have impressively been involved in every UK network delivery upgrade since the company began. Your new role
Reporting into the SHEQ Manager, the main purpose of your role is to provide advice and support to all areas whilst overseeing the Health & Safety requirements for the business nationally, guaranteeing all regulations and best practices are followed. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the overall management of the Health and Safety department
  • Identify training needs for employees, design and deliver training as required including company training matrix.
  • Manage all ISO management systems and all other Health and Safety systems relevant, driving improvements through the business.
  • Manage the accident and reporting for all field and office staff, including hazardous substance suggesting recommendations and improvements.
  • Ensure the organisation and stakeholders comply with the CDM regulations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to the board and its sub committees.
  • Liaise with the Transport Manager to manage issues relating to waste disposal, buildings, fire safety equipment, electrical testing, and safety audit non-compliances.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have worked within a similar position, ideally within a civils or utilities background, previous experience within a telecom's role would be a benefit. You will hold a NEBOSH certificate and Tech IOSH. You will be able to work at a fast pace and to tight deadlines whilst being proactive with the ability to work autonomously. You will have experiencing managing and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. This role covers the whole of the UK so you must be willing to travel.


What you'll get in return
This is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £32,000 +. 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, a company vehicle, private health care after 12 months of service along with pension scheme.
