Senior HSE Manager

We have partnered exclusively with a leading FMCG manufacturing organisation, based near Sheffield who are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Manager to join their business. As the Senior HSE Manager you will be the lead across two key sites in Sheffield and Manchester, you will also lead a team of 3 HSE Advisers.

A brilliant opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation who want to take safety to the next level at these fast paced sites. You will be joining the business an exciting time, both sites have had recent investment. You will be responsible for continuing to drive HSE strategy forward at these two key sites, whilst working towards the wider group strategy, working in partnership with a brilliant wider UK HSE team. 

The Senior HSE Manager role:

• Promote a positive HSE culture across the business
• Work with the Senior Leadership teams to create and deploy a formal Safety Health and Environmental that aligns with the overall Group strategy 
• You will be involved with carrying out accident investigations, risk assessments, audits, providing training, developing management systems and keeping abreast of new regulations 
• Monitoring and developing Health and Safety performance within the business, ensuring standards and company objectives are met
• Coaching and development of HSE team

The Senior HSE Manager candidate:

• NEBOSH General as a minimum, Diploma is preferable
• IEMA Qualification is desirable
• Experience of ISO45001 & ISO14001
• You will have experience working in HSE role, ideally within FMCG but they are very open to other manufacturing backgrounds
• You will have a positive, proactive approach to your work, with strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Experience in leading internal and external H&S and Environmental audits
• Leadership and Influencing skills are crucial
• You must be adaptable as you will be required to support on some security tasks
• Experience of managing small teams and developing HSE professionals
