Oxford, £40,000 - £45,000 plus Excellent Benefits

We've partnered with a leading global manufacturer of hydraulic accessories to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment Manager. The organisation has a large global footprint and this role is specifically responsible for two manufacturing facilities in the Oxfordshire area. This role will lead on all Health, Safety and Environment activities across the sites, reporting to the QHSE manager with support from a HSE Advisor.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environment Manager will include:

• Managing, maintaining and developing the companies ISO Management systems and supporting the QHSE Manager in achieving company objectives and targets
• Coaching and guiding business Managers on their Duty of care responsibilities and procedures to be followed
• To manage the HSE Advisor so they can complete day to day operations and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety and Environmental management
• To control the system requirements in line with ISO 45001 and aspects of ISO 14001, and to liaise with the governing body to ensure conformance where applicable
• To oversee H&S compliance reviews and risk assessments / COSHH Risk Assessments with guidance to Managers to own and implement in their departments

The successful Health, Safety and Environment Manager will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ideally NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and membership of IOSH
• Excellent communication skills with proven experience of engaging with colleagues at all levels from the shop floor to the boardroom
• A strong technical knowledge across relevant health, safety and environment legislation
