We have an exciting opportunity in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council Corporate Health and Safety Service for a full-time Corporate Health and Safety Advisor.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic health and safety professional to work as an integral member of a busy and supportive Corporate H&S team.
The successful candidate will work from various office locations across the BCP Council area, as well as from home.
This role involves working across all BCP Council Services as well as maintained schools. You will be responsible for the interpretation of legislation and guidance to provide appropriate advice. You will also be required to review and develop health and safety policies and procedures and develop and deliver health and safety training to a wide audience.
The role provides a varied and interesting workload.
You should hold the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. A sound knowledge of current H&S legislation is essential. You should have excellent communication and IT skills and be able to engage with individuals and groups across all levels of the organisation.
Salary scale on appointment will be dependent on level of qualification and experience.
