We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to assist our local business unit to deliver our challenging Building for a Sustainable World strategy, remains compliant with all environmental legislation and to have accountability for the delivery of environmental support and assist in the conformity with Kier environmental management systems.

Key Responsibilities

The role focusses on supporting the planning and delivery of environmental sustainability risk management for projects and facilitating the implementation of the Kier Group Sustainability framework, including:

• Review pre-construction information to evaluate environmental sustainability risks and opportunities

• Work with pre-construction and project team to deliver sustainable outcomes and manage environmental risk

• Identify and work with competent consultants/service providers of environmental sustainability services to preconstruction and operational teams

• Identify and support project team with obtaining authorisations / permits / licences / consents / MMP and engage with relevant Regulatory bodies.

• Support the successful delivery of BREEAM, DREAM & CEEQUAL projects.

What do we need from you?

You'll require demonstrable experience working as an Environmental Advisor or similar role and a degree within an Environmental sustainability discipline is preferred. You must be an IEMA Practitioner, working towards it or hold a relevant level of membership from a professional body. You'll have previous experience of providing project environmental sustainability support, including compliance management and ideally will have worked to deliver sustainability schemes such as BREEAM/DREAM/CEEQUAL
