Shirley Parsons has partnered exclusively with a growing specialist Health & Safety outsourcing organisation who provide a range of outsourced Health & Safety Services to small and medium sized businesses across the UK and Ireland. This position will suit someone who is looking to further their Health & Safety career by working across a range of environments and sectors within a growing and supportive working environment. This opportunity is home-based within the Central Belt of Scotland, and the successful candidate will be required to visit client offices and sites mainly across Edinburgh and the rest of the Central Belt, with some travel further afield required on occasion.

The role of the Health & Safety Advisor will be to:

• Support the provision of Health & Safety services to the organisation's clients, predominantly within the Central Belt region
• Be the direct point of call for the organisation's client base and answer Health & Safety queries as they arise
• Review and draft bespoke risk assessments, assist in fire risk assessments, risk assessments of hazardous substances in line with COSHH regulations and safe systems of work
• Attend customer sites across the region to provide face to face support and advice as required

The successful Health & Safety Advisor will have:

• The NEBOSH General Certificate / NCRQ Certificate, or equivalent, as a minimum. Ideally having / working towards a Level 6 Health & Safety qualification
• At least 3 years' experience and a good working knowledge of Health & Safety Law
• A full clean driving licence and access to a car
• Excellent communication, telephone and organisational skills
