We have partnered exclusively with a leading energy group to appoint a Senior EHS Manager for one of their main facilities in the North East of England. This is an excellent opportunity to be a key part of the senior leadership team and offers the chance to progress and develop your knowledge, experience, and career further. This role will best be suited to those who can take a forward-thinking and collaborative approach to managing and driving a positive health and safety culture and have experience operating at a senior level within a business that specialises in higher-risk activity.

The Senior EHS Manager will be responsible for:

• Collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels of the business to influence and educate on all EHS matters
• Review and improve existing policies, processes, and procedures to ensure they are simplified and successfully embedded company-wide
• Work with your wider team to review, develop, and roll-out a coordinated EHS strategy
• Be an asset to the senior leadership team regarding all EHS matters
• Keep updated with any changes to relevant legislation and be an influential advisor in numerous areas such as process safety management, behavioural-based safety, health and wellbeing, security, and emergency response.

The Senior EHS Manager will have:

• A degree level qualification in a similar industry, for example: engineering, energy, EHS
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level qualification
• A strategic, critical thinking mind who is confident driving EHS and improving site standards
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
• At least 3-4 years in an EHS role at managerial level
