We have partnered with a leading higher education establishment who are looking to bring on an Estates and Fire Health and Safety Advisor to join their internal team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and varied environment working across both the Health and Safety and Fire Safety teams.

The Estates and Fire Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

• Ensuring all relevant risk assessments and control measures are undertaken and that RAMS of contractors are checked  
• Conducting compliance checks in areas such as asbestos, legionella and CDM regulations
• Developing and implementing the University’s Fire Safety management system and preparation and maintenance of Fire Safety strategies
• Working across campuses to ensure continuity across Safety and Fire
• Providing Health and Safety advice and guidance to departments and driving a strong safety culture throughout the university

The Estates and Fire Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• Experience working in Fire Safety and Health and Safety with exposure to areas such as Estates and Construction Safety in a similar fast paced environment
• A Level 3 certificate in Health and Safety such as NEBOSH/NCRQ Certificate
• A Fire Safety qualification - desirable
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
