Job Title: Senior SHE Manager

Location: Flexible - UK. This role will be site and home based with travel.

Business area: Kier Utilities

Salary: Competitive plus car or car allowance

Contract: Full-time Permanent.

Due to growth, we have an opportunity for a Senior SHE Manager to lead the Utilities, Energy & Water team to a high performing state where they provide first class support to the Operations teams and together drive improvement within SHE performance across the division.

As well as ensure site works is undertaken in a safe, timely and cost-efficient manner in accordance with the relevant project plans. Nothing is so urgent that we cannot take time to do it safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively promote Safety, Health and Welfare, leading and setting a good example to other employees and stakeholders
  • Lead the SHEA teams.
  • Develop and maintain the IMS in line with the needs of the business and the Kier IMS requirements.
  • Work closely with the operational teams in carrying out their roles and SHE responsibilities.
  • Provide timely and affective operational SHE support and advice to the business unit.
  • Ensure operational compliance to approved SHE procedures.
What do we need from you?

Essential criteria

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • Membership of relevant professional institution.
Desirable criteria

  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Standards
  • Environmental qualification (IEMA or equivalent) and Quality qualification (CQI or equivalent) would be advantageous.
