Location: Exeter (reporting office only) with flexible, agile working available

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Our Kier Regional Civil Engineering Team are currently recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to join our Regional Civils team to support the delivery of sustainable projects across all avenues available.

Provide guidance and support to the project delivery teams to main legal compliance and support delivery of the Kier Building for a Sustainable World Framework and key elements of Kier Infrastructure Sustainability Plan, Building Better. Assist in maintaining conformity with Kier and client environmental management systems and support the Kier Business Stream and clients meet their environmental targets and deliver works in line with the Kier and Environment Agency Sustainability Policy

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting Environmental Advisor role, you'll act as the first point of contact for the project and design teams concerning environmental management coverage. You'll assist the development of the project Environmental Management System and identify and facilitate environmental training. You'll also conduct environmental audits and site inspections and facilitate the implementation of the Kier Group Sustainability Framework.

What do we need from you?

You'll have demonstrable experience in environmental management on construction related projects and experience in assessing environmental aspects and impacts to reduce environmental effects. You'll have good knowledge and practical experience of developing EMS's certified to BS EN ISO 14001 and knowledge of the statutory environmental requirements and a full clean UK driving licence.
