We have partnered exclusively with a global business in the utilities and construction sector who are looking for a SHEQ Advisor to join their team. This business is leading in the UK and due to a strong portfolio of work are looking to expand their SHEQ team. Working closely with the Senior SHEQ Manager, this role will suit a forward-thinking SHEQ professional with a minimum of 2 years experience who is looking for a new exciting challenge that offers flexible working and the chance to improve the wider SHEQ culture. Suitable applicants will be happy travelling to different sites across the UK and ideally have experience within the utilities or construction related sector, though this is not essential. This role will be a mix of home working alongside office and site visits, therefore we are able to look at applications across the UK.

The Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Travel to a range of sites across the UK to carry out inspections and offer SHEQ guidance and support where necessary
  • Collaborate with the Senior SHEQ Manager to assist with SHEQ tasks and matters
  • Maintain existing accreditations within the business such as ISO 45001, 9001, 14001, and 50001
  • Review, improve, and maintain all SHEQ related documentation including policies, processes, and procedures
  • Produce and review risk assessments and method statementsGather relevant SHEQ KPI's across the business and produce reports for the senior leadership team

The Health and Safety Advisor will have:

  • At least 2 years of experience within a SHEQ role, ideally within a construction or utilities related environment
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent as a minimum. NEBOSH Construction Certificate is preferred but not essential
  • Experience working with, maintaining, and developing SHEQ management systems
  • A strong communicator who has the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business
  • Full UK Driving licence and willingness to travel to different sites
