We have exclusively partnered with a leading higher education establishment who are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and varied environment where you will lead the health and safety team and be responsible for delivering at a strategic level. The role can be based from either the London or Hertfordshire campus and will involve travel between the two, in addition to the capability to work from home.

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:

• Managing the Health and Safety team, ensuring continued development and support
• Ensuring policies, procedures and guidance is up to date with current legislation
• Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Developing the Health and Safety Strategy for the organisation

The Health and Safety Manager will have:

• Experience working in Higher Education or similar complex environments
• Previously managed and mentored teams of H&S professionals
• A NEBOSH/ NCRQ Diploma or equivalent level qualification in Health and Safety; ideally a degree in Science
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
