Health and Safety Advisor (Senior)
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000
Assured Safety Recruitment have been engaged by a large and diverse public sector organisation, seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join their existing team. The health and safety team support all areas of service and are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor who enjoys variety and is able to apply their health and safety knowledge in diverse risk settings.
About the role
The health and safety team has a friendly, people-centred approach and seeking to proactively support managers and employees in their day-to-day management of health and safety. You will regularly attend service departmental meetings working in partnership with key stakeholders to enhance awareness, engagement and capability in health and safety.
You will develop safety plans and support the development and implementation of health and safety strategies for managers and employees, including the development of Risk Profiles. You will work closely with departments to ensure the consistent improvement of the safety culture linked to business plans, key performance indicators and operational work plans.
The Senior Health and Safety Advisor role offers the opportunity for hybrid working to include homeworking, site visits and attending meetings.
You will be qualified to Nebosh Diploma Level 6 or equivalent.
Previous public sector experience isn’t essential, key is the ability to apply your knowledge and understanding to a variety of settings.
You will have strong relationship building skills – comfortable and able to influence and engage with managers and employees.
You will be willing to travel locally for site visits and attending locations for face-face meetings.
