We're very pleased to be partnering with a leading FTSE-250 property organisation, who are looking to bring onboard a new Head of Health and Safety to lead the strategy and management of health and safety across their multibillion-pound property portfolio. The company owns and manages numerous properties located across different regions of the UK, and the role will be predominantly based out of their central London hub. The role is very diverse; leading on a number of different business units, such as residential and commercial property, retail outlets, rural land projects/developments, and property asset management.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead health and safety in a professional and dynamic working environment.

Responsibilities of the Head of Health and Safety will include:

• Ensure a culture of best practice health and safety across the business and diverse portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Provide expert guidance and leadership to the Board of Directors and engage with all staff across the organisation on health and safety issues
• Ensure activities across the portfolio are properly risk assessed and manage a regular audit programme to evaluate performance
• Develop and strategically lead the health and safety management system, seek opportunities to improve and enhance the overall Health and safety strategy and performance

The successful Head of Health and Safety will have:

• Proven senior experience in a similar role within the world of real estate (commercial, residential, retail is ideal)
• Experience in influencing, engaging, and coaching across all levels of the organisation from site to the boardroom and building relationships straight away
• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
• Chartership of IOSH (or working towards)
