Senior Health and Safety Advisor
Location: London / South England
£50,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by one of the UK's well-established residential and commercial property maintenance organisations to bring onboard a new Senior Health and Safety Advisor. This role will be focusing on supporting the strategy and operational safety across the business divisions to align to client needs, as well as driving development and cultural change across the business.

The approach for this role is to be visiting client sites on a regular basis, as well as working closely with the internal safety team/wider business. The role will report to the Head of Health and Safety.

Responsibilities of the Senior Health and Safety Advisor will include:

• Supporting on engagement with senior stakeholders across the organisation to assist and drive a positive health and safety culture
• Day-to-day management of ISO-systems 45001/14001/9001
• Supporting on all health and safety management across all projects within the different business divisions, both operational with the likes of accidents and investigation, to strategic implementations for corrective actions to drive performance improvements
• Working closely with contractors on site; ensuring they are aligning to compliance and policies

The successful Senior Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• NEBOSH General certificate (or equivalent) and relevant IOSH membership
• Proven experience in a similar health and safety role; ideally hard Facilities Management or the wider property industry
• Proven experience of ISO Management systems (45001 / 14001 / 9001)
• A pragmatic approach to safety and the ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
• Experience dealing with contractors on various construction sites
