Senior Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Advisor
Oxford | £60,000 - £70,000 + Car Allowance & Benefits

Irwin and Colton are pleased to be engaged by a leading Principal Contractor, who turnover circa £1.5bn, to recruit a Senior Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Advisor. This role will be responsible for driving a positive safety culture across one of their large-scale pharmaceutical construction projects in the area. Experience with pharmaceutical construction will be highly beneficial, however, not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and motivated health and safety professional, looking to further develop and grow their career with a leader in the construction and civil engineering industry on an exciting project.

Responsibilities of the Senior Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Advisor will include:

• Engaging key internal and external stakeholders ensuring the vision for health and safety is communicated and implemented through the supply chain
• Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions to drive performance improvements
• Working with the wider team, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally

The successful Senior Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Advisor will have:

• Proven experience in a similar health and safety position within a Tier 1 construction organisation
• Direct experience interfacing with key external stakeholders
• NEBOSH General (or equivalent) and hold or working towards Chartered Membership of IOSH
• A pragmatic approach to safety and the ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
