Assured Safety Recruitment are partnering with a highly successful, mult-isite, UK manufacturing group who still maintain a family feel on their manufacturing sites. We are recruiting a Safety, Health and Environment Manager for their large production facility in South Wales. As Safety, Health and Environment Manager, you will lead the SHE agenda across, what is a large and complex FMCG production facility. You will be part of supportive SLT, building on current SHE process's whilst taking the safety culture to new heights. 

About the role

The SHE Manager is supported by a Safety, Health and Environment Advisor and forms part of the Site Leadership Team and is supported, externally by Group Safety, Health and Environment function. The Group are committed to Safety, Health and Environment having already made massive improvements in their HSE performance over the last year. 

Key to your success, will be your ability to engage with employees at all levels, implementing projects and initiatives that bring safety to life; making safety interesting and relatable. You will enjoy communication and being a visible presence on the shop floor.

The role is both a strategic and hands on, leading initiatives focusing on safety cultures and behaviours, engaging, and educating, having real conversations as well as advocating for Safety, Health and Environment at management level.

About you

We welcome applicants with a Level 6 Diploma or equivalent (or working towards) with previous experience leading SHE Strategy and initiatives across a large manufacturing site. You will have a proven record of managing safety, environment and health across a complex manufacturing facility, engaging with employee's whilst managing a diverse range of technical and legislative risks.
