Salary: Up to £50,000 + Excellent Benefits
Location: Gloucestershire

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Health & Safety Advisor within an independent school in Gloucestershire. Reporting directly to the Head of Property Services, you'll be responsible for managing health, safety, and fire safety systems across the school, fostering a positive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Responsibilities of the Senior Health & Safety Advisor will include:

• Overseeing the school's health, safety, and fire safety policies and procedures.
• Providing expert advice and guidance on safety issues across all school's departments.
• Conducting and reviewing risk assessments, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
• Collaborating with Estates and Facilities to support safety compliance and manage ongoing maintenance schedules.
• Leading and developing the health & safety team, and delivering training to staff at all levels.

The successful Senior Health & Safety Advisor will have:

• Chartered membership with a professional body such as IOSH or CIEH. (Preferred)
• Significant experience in a similar health & safety role, preferably within the education sector.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• A proactive and systematic approach to work, with strong organizational skills.
