Aberdeenshire
£350-400 per day, dependent on experience (Inside IR35)

If you're on the lookout for your next exciting long-term contract and have hands-on experience in health and safety within decommissioning activity and construction, this opportunity could be ideal for you.
We're thrilled to be working with a leading global energy company to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor for their Decommissioning team on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. You'll play a crucial role in supporting health and safety operations for one of their major decommissioning projects, while also providing valuable support to other key projects as needed.
The responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor - Decommissioning will be:
- Collaborate with Operations Managers to develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety strategy that ensures legislative compliance and effectively communicates initiatives in a team-oriented manner.
- Oversee the application of company health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring they align with legislation, guidance, and industry best practices.
- Monitor compliance and maintain the health and safety management system's processes and procedures, supporting daily operations.
- Assess when intervention or escalation is necessary, particularly in regulatory areas of concern.
- Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, gather essential information, and identify risks and impacts to drive corrective actions and improvements.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility by promoting effective safety behaviours and continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful Health and Safety Advisor - Decommissioning will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a heavy industrial sector, energy, oil and gas, or a related industry
- Construction knowledge and experience overseeing decommissioning work
- Offshore experience is desirable
- NEBOSH or equivalent Certificate and relevant membership of IOSH (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Desirable)
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging colleagues at all levels
