Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager (Utilities) | Kent, UK | £45,000 - £55,000 + Company Car + Benefits

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a high-profile utilities company to recruit a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Manager. This role is critical to ensuring the safe delivery of major, long-term contracts with clients in Kent.

The organisation is involved in major projects across the utilities sector and has an excellent track record in health and safety. This role will be critical to ensuring the safe and successful delivery of long-term and high-profile contracts.

Responsibilities for the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager will include:

• Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on-site, ensuring compliance with regulations and staying updated on key legislative changes.
• Engaging with managers, clarifying responsibilities, and addressing technical health and safety queries.
• Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations, consistently seeking areas for improvement and developing health and safety performance.
• Engaging with clients and external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact and fostering strong relationships.

The successful Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the utilities sector.
• NEBOSH or equivalent Certificate and relevant membership of IOSH
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong technical knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and regulations.

This position requires a proactive self-starter who can lead by example and hit the ground running. A UK Driver's License is essential.
