Location: Tadcaster

Salary: £45,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of the UK's leading Construction companies to recruit their new Health and Safety Advisor, working within the mechanical and electrical team. This is a great opportunity to work for a forward-thinking organisation who are leaders in their field.

The position will join an established Health and Safety team, operating within a dynamic, fast paced environment covering their Ministry of Justice programme across two sites, with the aim to improve safety across their workforce.

Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

• Working closely with the Health and Safety team to identify areas for performance improvement and creating ideas to take advantage of these
• Cover two sites, delivering a regular inspection and audit program, ensuring the implementation of the Health, Safety policies
• Accurately reporting on Health and Safety performance, investigating accidents and incidents and identifying the root cause

The successful Health and Safety Advisor candidate will have:

• NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and ideally membership of IOSH
• Ideally experience in a similar role with relevant sector e.g. mechanical and electrical
• Good communications skills with experience engaging a wide range of stakeholders
• Due to the nature of their projects, all candidates will be expected to pass a DBS check
