One of England's largest academy trusts is seeking a dynamic Head of Health and Safety. This is a unique opportunity to work at a strategic level within a mission-driven organisation dedicated to delivering life-changing education.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Health and Safety:

• Develop and implement group-wide Health & Safety policies, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
• Drive the Health & Safety Strategy, targeting priority risks and promoting continuous improvement.
• Provide expert advice on occupational health & safety matters, supporting over 100 schools and 10,000 staff.
• Oversee audits, risk assessments, and training programs to ensure safe environments across schools and offices.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and external advisors to enhance safety practices and manage risks.
• Act as the key liaison for regulatory bodies and lead investigations into significant incidents or issues.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
• Deep knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, premises compliance, and risk management.
• Proven leadership experience, ideally within large educational or complex organisations.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Full driving license and flexibility for travel across the UK.
