An iconic local government organisation int heart of London is looking for a skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join their Corporate Health & Safety team. This role offers the chance to deliver expert guidance, ensure compliance, and promote safer environments for staff and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor:

• Provide expert health, safety, and fire advice to meet legal and corporate standards across a varied estate.
• Develop and maintain policies, risk assessments, and safety procedures.
• Monitor legislative updates and advise on practical applications.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations to drive continuous improvement.
• Support managers in effectively managing workplace risks.
• Analyse performance metrics and prepare detailed reports.
• Lead initiatives to foster a positive safety culture.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including Trade Unions, to enhance safety practices.

Ideal Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• NEBOSH National General Certificate and Fire Safety Certificate
• Strong knowledge of legislation, management systems, and risk assessment.
• Proven experience in health and safety management within complex organizations (ideally local government).
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Proactive and creative in promoting health and safety awareness.
