Are you ready to make an impact in health and safety within a leading Highways Specialist Contractor?

At Irwin and Colton, we're partnering with a UK leader in the highways sector to identify a proactive and skilled Health and Safety Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to join an established health and safety team renowned for their outstanding track record in delivering projects.

You'll play a pivotal role, focusing on one of the organisation's frameworks in Suffolk. Experience with highways is desirable but not essential; this organisation is also interested in considering more junior individuals which are interested in growing and developing within an organisation.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

• Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation
• Visiting site and engaging with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquires
• Conducting audits, inspections, and accident Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance
• Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• Experience in a similar role ideally within construction, Highways or Civil
• Hold a NEBOSH Certificate and ideally a member of IOSH
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders
